The former NFL field marshal and current Sports color commentator, Mark Sánchez, who was arrested for multiple minor crimes after a physical altercation this weekend, now faces a serious crime of aggression that involves serious bodily injuries, prosecutors announced in Indianapolis.
The more serious it was added after the investigators learned of the severity of the victim’s injuries, Marion County prosecutor Ryan Mears said at a press conference on Monday.
“This was a situation that didn’t have to happen,” Mears said.

“The accusations involve a 38 -year -old man involved in an altercation with a 69 -year -old man who suffered significant and very serious injuries” for a dispute over the parking lot, Mears said.
Mears said that other positions are possible, noting that they are still in “the early stages of this research.”
The early morning of Saturday, Sánchez allegedly approached a 69 -year -old truck driver at a hotel that carries the dock and “intensified a dispute over the victim’s parked vehicle,” according to the police and prosecutors. Sanchez allegedly climbed into the truck and prevented the driver from asking for help before a fight broke out, according to judicial records.

“After the altercation became a physical, it is alleged that the pepper spray was dispensed, and Sánchez suffered injuries consisting of being stabbed,” prosecutors said in a statement this weekend.
Multiple angles of surveillance images captured the incident and the witnesses have presented, Mears said.
Sánchez was arrested in the hospital and initially accused of three minor crimes: drums with injuries, illegal entry of a motorized vehicle and public poisoning, police said. Published a $ 300 cash bond Sunday and is due in court on Tuesday.
With the additional position, the case will be transferred to a great serious crime, Mears said. The sentence for the position of severe crime could be one to six years, Mears said.
Sánchez was in Indianapolis as part of the Transmission team for Sunday’s game between the Raiders of Las Vegas and the Indianapolis Colts. It did not end up calling the game.

Indianapolis Police Chief Christopher Bailey said Monday: “I don’t care who you are, I don’t care what you do to make a living … If you come to our city, it commits violence, we will use all the tools at our disposal to hold it responsible.”
Sanchez was the general selection number 5 of the New York Jets in 2009 after taking USC to a 12-1 record over Penn State at the Rose Bowl. He led the Jets to consecutive appearances in the AFC championship in his first two seasons, but he had only 14-17 with 39 TouchDowns and 36 interceptions in his next two seasons.
He had a short stops in Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington, but never played again in the playoffs after his first two seasons.
