An F-35 combat plane crashed at the Lemoore naval air station in Center for California on Wednesday, the Navy confirmed.
“The pilot expelled successfully and is safe. There are no additional affected personnel,” said Nas Lemoore in a statement.

At 4:30 of the local time, an “F-35C attached to the VFA-125 ‘Rough Raiders’ fell not far from NAS Lemoore,” the statement continued.
