RFK Jr. Hearing Live Updates: RFK Jr. is expected to face the grill on the agitation of the CDC, vaccines

After a week of rapid movement in the Nation’s Health Agency, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., will be presented to the powerful Senate Finance Committee, which supervises his department, on Thursday during hours of questions that will surely focus on his vaccine policy.

It arrives a week after the Food and Medicines Administration significantly reduced access to the COVID-19 vaccine, a movement that precipitated a public consequence and expel the newly installed director of the Centers for the Control and Prevention of Diseases Susan Monarez. Four senior CDC officials also resigned in protest.

Thursday will be the first time that Kennedy faces questions from the senators since May, when he testified to a Senate Committee and a Chamber Committee, defending the massive cuts to the workforce of the department held in April.
Kennedy is expected to promote the revision in the HHS so far, which according to him aims to eliminate the swollen bureaucracy and conflicts of interest in public health agencies that are brought on the path of “standard gold science.”

While Republicans such as the president of the Finance Committee, Mike Crapo, will try to more changes in the nation’s vaccine policy.
